ZEIGN
ZEIGN
Every month, we curate a collection of content that inspires us and allows our creativity to flow freely. Now, you can get a glimpse through an immersive experience right at your fingertips. A curated digital zine highlighting my faves across art, food, travel music, design, and more all in one place.
ZEIGN: FADE TO BLACK
In this ZEIGN, I celebrate the places, spaces, brands, and individuals who have played an integral role in guiding me toward embracing the elements in life that truly ignite my fire inside- the things that have aided me in developing my palate, and self-awareness. We’ll chat about some of my favorite ‘Good Girl, Gone’ Bad Moments, look at Black owned brands including Hanifa and Brown Estate, I’ll give you my favorite places to eat and expand your palate, and we’ll talk about how Tarantino’s ‘Kill Bill’ is the ultimate story of self- discovery, and more!. Through each of these unique and captivating expressions, they've carved out a sacred space for me to be unapologetically myself.
ZEIGN INTERVIEW EDITION
N’Deyah Belle, a self- proclaimed multi-hyphenate, student of life, and lover of food, art travel, and design is finally embracing being a creative, and we’re here for it! I had the pleasure of sitting down and speaking with N’Deyah, (AKA me) for a candid conversation and introspective look into N’Deyah’s creative journey, how she gets her inspiration, and the influences in her life. N’Deyah’s decision to conduct a self-interview for this month’s ZEIGN, inspired by Donald Glover, adds an intriguing and unique touch to the conversation. She goes on to discuss the changing landscape for creatives, the importance of embracing one's multifaceted nature, and how she feels her current season is bringing her back home to whom she’s always been. Read along below.
ZEIGN SZN 3: LIGHT WORK
Light can be used as a powerful motif in literature, art, and film to convey various themes and ideas. It can be seen as a way to symbolize transformation and growth, truth and transparency, enlightenment and knowledge, and hope and optimism. Something that can seem so minuscule, yet so powerful in how we view the world. Light is also something that we take for granted; within our world and the light within ourselves. So I want to dedicate this month's ZEIGN to light and all that it can be for us. I want to dedicate this to all the people, places, and things that aren't afraid to stand out in the sun and beam as themselves.
I hope you enjoy.
ZEIGN SZN 2: COLOURING OUTSIDE THE LINES
This SZN, we're talking about trendsetters, tastemakers, and creatives who aren't afraid to colour outside of the lines in their respective industries. You can read features on Tyler, the Creator, Rottet Studio, What makes Nancy's Hustle so darn good, the newest and dopest art gallery, why Mezcal is that girl + the best places to find it, and much more!
ZEIGN SZN 1: WELCOME TO MY GARDEN
The beginning of spring 2022, I decided to change everything. Starting with my career. I was burnt out, but knew that I needed something different, something creative that felt true to me. Now don’t get me wrong, selling real estate was my dream for years, but after doing it, and doing it well, it was time for a change. A transformation. Little did I know, the next year would be more mentally, emotionally, and creatively challenging than I anticipated, forcing me to rise to the occasion and ask myself what exactly do I want, and get out of my comfort zone to figure it out. The world was my canvas, but I didn't know what colors to start with. It was uncomfortable, but necessary. So this months ZEIGN (the very first!!) is dedicated to just that and artists with in their own right doing the same. Learning, growing, expressing, and blooming into the truest version of myself… Welcome to my garden.
